I did the lines in Pchat kinda quickly and carelessly. I did the colors in Photoshop in a similar manner. There are mistakes, but it was still fun and kind of freeing.

By the way, that font is Ninjutsu BB, a free font from Blambot. I recommend them, but beware— my font folder doubled in size after visiting them.

Other CMYK halftone experiments. Sailor Moon head and Ludwig head, par for the course.
I like these more than Kotetsu in a way— I made myself keep the combinations simpler so I could do more elegant (“”“”elegant”“”“) things while keeping the colors bold. Anyway, fun!

I had layers of C M Y K halftones in 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% density adn then I masked them to create this effect. (Just applying the filter would have made the edges all fuzzy, you see. This looks more authentic, I think.) Not sure if it was worth it, but I guess it was an interesting color exercise?

I’ve been learning how to ink with a chisel pen and brush pen recently! For a long time, I’ve just been using technical pens, and this is such a breath of fresh air. Naturally, I used sailor moon characters, because it’s not like I could draw OCs, right? HAH!
Anyway, 6/10
I did some concept art for the extracurricular video game project I’ve been working on. nnnot 100% satisfied with either? Niether are quite complete… Our director said they should be really sketchy— he stopped me from working on piece number one, but then I worked maybe a bit too hard making it clean, but then the deadline crept up on me
And then on the day of the deadline I found out that one of our composers was using the art in his thesis defense and now I wish I had made them more evocative and expressive
(Still, I’m fond of my color choices, and I think these brought me out of artblock! And my director seemed really happy with them.)
